Anti-patterns in event-driven architecture - some things to keep in mind
Today it is increasingly popular to build what people refer to as microservices. Because of scalability reasons, together with microservices we sometimes also encounter what’s referred to as event-driven architecture. It is easy to believe that microservices are always better, and that event-driven architecture is easy, which is not the case.It can give benefits such as allowing systems to scale better and decoupling, but it has it’s own set of problems.
In this webinar I will go through some problems I’ve seen during my years as a software developer working with event-driven architecture. We’ll see why the problems exist, and solutions for them.
